If you already have some diving experience with an entry-level qualification and want to take your underwater adventures to the next level, this course could be for you. The course focuses on developing the diver into a thinking, more independent diver, to broaden the experience in a variety of challenging open-water conditions, and learn essential techniques to prepare you for diving to a maximum of 35 metres.

The course includes six theory modules, a practical session on how to support a Dive Manager, a sheltered-water rescue skills session, and six open-water dives with plenty of time to practise your skills. It will cover rescue skills, nitrox mixes up to 36%, underwater navigation, decompression procedures, deployment of dsmb, and much more.
Our aim will be to teach the theory lessons via online presentation by our experienced club instructors, if a classroom environment is not possible due to Covid-19.
As soon as diving is allowed, the practical sessions will begin.
The course is open to members and anyone who would like to join the club to take advantage of this course. Our club instructors give their time freely as the club is a non-profit organisation.

The cost of the course is what it costs the club to supply BSAC training materials (HK$1,000) and membership fees if the student is a new (prerequisite is BSAC and SCDC membership which is GBP60.50 and HK$1,600 per annum). Dive practical costs such as boat fees and gear hire are extra and paid on the day.
Class side is limited to 10 on a first come first served basis with priority given to our existing members.
