Hi Everyone, SCDC carried out the yearly Reef Check at Ngau Shi Wu Wan yesterday. On the first dive the survey was conducted with a little worse viz than expected and thus taking a tad longer than planned but all went well. The second dive was a very rewarding and impressive fun dive at the Town Gas Jetty starring loads and loads of fish. Pictures will soon be up-loaded to our website gallery too. Here are our up-dates for this week:

  • Club Social Dinner at Ning Po in Central this Saturday Aug 27th

  • Dive Camp on Nov 12th and 13th

  • Latest Dive Schedule - New Club Dive ex Sai Kung on Saturday Sep 24th

Club Social Dinner at Ning Po in Central this Saturday Aug 27th There are still a few seats left for the dinner at Ning Po Restaurant in Central this coming Saturday evening at 6.30pm. The address is: Room 401-405, Yip Fung Building 2-18 D’Aguilar Street, Central Ning Po specializes in Shanghainese cuisine which is famous for dishes such as 'xiao long bao', the juicy dumpling filled with pork and soup broth as well as drunken chicken which has been soaked in wine and cooked to a delicate tenderness and sweetness that can't be resisted. This will be a culinary experience, and for those of you new to Chinese cuisine a real treat! The invite is open to all SCDC members, so please be sure to get your name on the list as quickly as possible by sending a message to Catheryn at before all seats are taken! Dive Camp on November 12th and 13th This year's SCDC Dive Camp is planned for the 12th November weekend. We'll head out with the boat on Saturday morning, do some dives, then head to a beach, set up our tents with expectedly substantial amounts of food and booze to be absorbed, stay overnight and next morning head back to the boat with possibly some more dives if we don't suffer from a hangover... ;-) The theme of this year's dive camp is yet to be decided, but please already mark it in your calendar so you can join in - great fun guaranteed!! Stay tuned for further up-dates...
