we have successfully completed and in the meantime also fully recovered (I hope) from our this year's Dive Camp, which was great fun, with big thanks to the organizer Mike Belshaw. You really did a great job there!! We did some good dives including an extensive (but failed, haha!) search for a lost propeller on the second day. On the first day, after the dives, we were dropped off on the beach, focused on a quick tent and BBQ set-up and then a bunch of Super He
Dive camp – Last call
Is it a bird, Is it a bloke, no it’s Susan Belshaw…..
This is your last chance to sign up for a “Super” weekend. We have a “monster” boat, a beer fridge and enough phone boxes to change into. …. By day you could be a mild mannered janitor, but quicker than a speeding bullet you are… Who are you by the way? Move away I feel uncomfortable. It doesn’t matter – Be a Superhero – Real or imaginary.
Saturday 12th to Sunday 13th November –
Hi Everyone, Sorry for the late submission of this week's NL. The beginning of this week turned out a bit turbulent... Saturday's Dive ex Sai Kung with the DA Boat was a full-on success with a great boat, crew and group of divers, very good viz and lots of exciting stories to tell of encounters with vicious clown fish, the mighty thorny sea urchin and serious injuries caused by that dangerous creature, leaving one of our men with a fully blown up hand covered nicely with purp
News Flash! Seahorse spotted at Little Palm Beach!Mark Kelly gets the golden ticket for spotting AND taking video of a seahorse in Hong Kong during the dive last Saturday at Little Palm Beach. Oh, and a big congratulation to Cat and Scott on their first open water dive! We’re proud of you, but please forgive us if we are a bit more excited about the seahorse! It was great to see you taking your first step into the big blue. And as I told you, you will never forget your first
we had another successful club dive on Sunday with the Islands Junk ex ABC. This time, it took us back to the canons and anchors in Po Toi. After rain kept pouring down all Saturday, Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day with very calm waters. Visibility was still quite good with pretty warm water. All in all, again everyone enjoyed a great day out!

Hi Everyone, Last Sunday some SCDC divers were very lucky to experience one of the best dive days you can have in Hong Kong with exceptional conditions, Blue Water, well around 15 metres viz and 27 degree warm water, although with a deep thermocline. The trip went out to Victor Rock and One Foot Rock. The location itself is really exposed and conditions therefore are also challenging due to pretty strong currents around the rocks. We saw big lobsters, sting rays, big butterfl
SCDC carried out the yearly Reef Check at Ngau Shi Wu Wan yesterday. On the first dive the survey was conducted with a little worse viz than expected and thus taking a tad longer than planned but all went well. The second dive was a very rewarding and impressive fun dive at the Town Gas Jetty starring loads and loads of fish. Pictures will soon be up-loaded to our website gallery too.
